Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists is looking to add a full or part time veterinary assistant to our Ophthalmology department.
 
The Ophthalmology team at BEVS is a close-knit group of quality-focused veterinary professionals. The ideal candidate is someone who is upbeat, enjoys detail oriented tasks, and strives to create a sterile field and optimal environment for top-notch surgical care. This person needs to be able to handle tasks independently while also working closely as a team with the veterinarians and technicians. Main job duties will include sterile park and prep of surgical instruments, surgical prep, setup, and cleanup, assisting with daily appointment flow and patient handling, and fielding client communications. 
 
At least 1 year of relevant experience is preferred, and training is available for the right candidate. Because BEVS is a multi-department hospital, additional training opportunities exist in the Emergency & Critical Care department, and some holiday coverage is required to support the team.

REQUIREMENTS     
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred but not required, and other work in animal care or surgical assistance will be considered
