Seeking an instructor for AER 3010 and AER 3020.


AER 3010

This capstone course requires an applicant who can build upon the student's extensive Commercial Pilot knowledge by adding the instructional skills of a professional Flight Instructor. Strong emphasis is on the fundamentals of instructing and scenario-based training. Through the creation of weekly lesson plans delivering in the classroom with peers and in the broader community, the student builds confidence in their aviation knowledge and delivery. The student explores and  understands their own learning and teaching styles and recognizes and supports individual learners. Concepts, techniques, procedural training methods, and adult learning is augmented with applied activities aimed at developing an efficient, effective CFI.

Six credit course meets twice per week.


AER 3020

This position looks for a qualified candidate that meets the minimum qualifications to instruct Flight Instructor applicants. This interactive flight course enables the student to gain the necessary aeronautical skill, knowledge and experience to meet the requirements for the FAA Certified Flight Insructor:  Airplane certificate. You will oversee the Flight Instructor, Flight course, manage student progress in Canvas, and manage student certification.

Three credit course meets twice per week.


Salary: 
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement. The compensation or range of compensation for this role can be found
