We're currently looking for a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Willmar branch. This is a great opportunity for detail-oriented, organized professional, who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure a smooth and accurate lending experience for home buyers!
What You'll Do
As a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor, you'll play a key role in supporting our Lending department with real estate loans, with an emphasis is secondary market loans. In this role you will:
- Be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of residential mortgage loans, including processing, submission to underwriting, clearing conditions, coordinating closings, and delivering loans to the secondary market.
- Accurately prepare loan documents and review for compliance.
- Build loans within our core system, ensuring all data is complete and correct.
- Collaborate with appropriate resources to assist in resolving customer inquiries and providing timely updates regarding loan status as needed.
- Assist with the coordination of loan closings and funding, ensure that all loan fees and invoices are processed.
- Follow all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-driven, and committed to delivering excellent service. An ideal candidate will have a customer-first mindset, as well as the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage processing, underwriting coordination, closing, or secondary market functions.
- Experience in a community bank or similar lending environment preferred.
- Experience managing loans from application through sale is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage processing, underwriting workflow, closing, post-closing, and secondary market guidelines.
- Familiarity with investor requirements (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA).
- Understanding of TRID, RESPA, and mortgage compliance regulations.
- Experience with loan origination systems (e.g., Meridian Link, Encompass, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
- Available to travel as business needs require.
- This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, communications skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.

Salary Range [based on experience]: $26.00-37.00
