About Us:

We are seeking an experienced Educational Planner to help schools and communities envision what’s next. In this role, you’ll be at the front-end of the design process—building relationships, uncovering needs, and translating big-picture ideas into thoughtful, actionable plans that guide meaningful educational projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Educational Planner, you’ll play a key role in both client engagement and project success by:

  • Leading facility assessments and space utilization studies to inform planning and programming decisions
  • Developing project scopes, cost estimates, and budgets that align vision with reality
  • Creating and presenting planning and programming concepts tailored to each client’s short- and long-term needs
  • Producing presentations, diagrams, and documentation that clearly communicate ideas to clients and project teams
  • Supporting and participating in client, community, and stakeholder meetings
  • Acting as a bridge between planning and design, ensuring concepts are clearly translated to design teams
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships that support the firm’s continued growth
  • Representing the firm at evening or weekend events as needed
  • Contributing to other related initiatives as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in planning, urban design, architecture, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or educational planning
  • Strong understanding of educational planning principles, including Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) guidelines and applicable building codes
  • Demonstrated success working with clients, school leaders, and community stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with confidence and clarity
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
