This position is responsible for supervising, scheduling and coordinating personnel in the Roll to Roll Department. The Press Shift Supervisor drives the profitability of Quad by monitoring the quality and production of all finished products from the Roll to Roll process to ensure expectations of customers are met/exceeded.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors the quality and the production of all finished products form the Roll to Roll processÂ
- Oversees press crews to ensure quality of product.Â
- Ensures proper direction is given to multiple press crews.Â
- Performs quality checks on products.Â
- Ensures that employees understand customer expectations.Â
- Performs press OK’s in a professional manner.
- Communicates with other departments on a daily basis and in a professional manner.Â
- Resolves issues that impact productivity.Â
- Ensures Department Measures of Quality for Uptime, Imps. Per Hour, and Waste.Â
- Ensures quality through reviewing press pulls.Â
- Supervises Roll to Roll Personnel.Â
- Supervises all general and daily activities of the press crews.Â
- Resolves issues that impact employee productivityÂ
- Conducts performance evaluations that meet position description guidelines.Â
- Edits payroll and records attendance for all Roll to Roll employees.Â
- Ensures all employees are participating in all training functions that pertain to the department and their future development.Â
- Interfaces with various departments to ensure delivery, equipment capabilities, and job requirements are met.Â
- Provides problem follow-up and job feedback to necessary departments.Â
- Recommends cost reduction projects.Â
- Attends pre-production and shift change meetings.Â
- Pre-plans future jobs for scheduling requirements.Â
- Establishes, maintains, and enforces procedures which allow safe, accurate, and cost effective handling of equipment and materials.Â
- Conducts monthly safety meetings.Â
- Performs departmental safety audits.Â
- Performs safety inspections and investigations.Â
- Ensures roll to roll personnel follow safe work habits.Â
- Ensures roll to roll personnel maintain a safe work environmentÂ
- Develops and insures compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System procedures.Â
- Manages self-development.Â
- Seeks opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.Â
- Participates in company-sponsored training and development programs, using the skills learned on the job.Â
- Successfully completes GATF, Web Offset Press Training Program.
- Other duties as assigned.Â
REQUIREMENTSÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent.Â
- Minimum 5 years experience in the Roll to Roll department and 2 years supervisory experience or equivalent.Â
