Purpose:

Initially the Administrator will be involved in the ASC set-up, creation of policies and protocols. This will include collaboration with key partners to establish a high performance infrastructure for this new, state of the art facility. The Governing Board assigns the Administrator full and complete authority over all aspects of the facility and is empowered to make all administrative decisions in accordance with center policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws. The Administrator will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and administer all non-clinical matters in the center.
  • Provide leadership through action, attitude, and personal example, which will provide an effective and safe work environment yielding high levels of productivity, patient care, and employee satisfaction.
  • The Administrator is responsible for the overall maintenance of the facility according to Life Safety Standards and the required documentation to support these activities.
  • Establishing job requirements and written job descriptions for all levels of personnel; the Clinical Administrator will assist the Administrator with job requirements and job descriptions for clinical personnel.
  • Assessing non-clinical staff competencies.
  • Creating and maintaining all required provider ad state documentation
  • HR management
  • Overseeing periodic staff performance evaluations.
  • The Administrator will perform financial analysis studies of Center activities and be responsible for the overall financial performance of the Center
  • The Administrator will develop annual budgets with input from the Clinical Administrator.
  • The Administrator will collaborate with the Insurance Credentialing Department to provide data and analysis of center services to support department activities
  • The Administrator will ensure monthly management reports are presented to the Governing Board.
  • The Administrator is responsible for achieving and maintaining accreditation for the Center
  • The Administrator will be responsible to oversee the supply/inventory management of the center

  • The Administrator will be responsible for establishing and maintaining Ancillary Agreements as needed by the Center
  • The Administrator will be responsible for oversight of a Patient Satisfaction Survey analysis to improve the patients’ experience.
  • The Administrator will work with the Medical Director to establish both short and long-term objectives for the center.
  • The Administrator will report ASC Quality metrics and other ASC activities to the Board as well as attending Board meetings at least quarterly.
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

Required:


  • Graduate of College Degree.
  • One to three years of Healthcare Administration Experience – preferably in an ASC or surgical facility setting.


Preferred:

  • CASC credentials
