Basic Function:

This position is responsible for assisting with the development, leadership and administration of all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III women’s volleyball program. 

Reports to:          Head Women’s Volleyball Coach

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in the recruitment of quality student-athletes while maintaining roster expectations
  2. Maintains awareness of and adheres to College, NCAA and OAC rules and regulations
  3. Assists in monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes
  4. Assists in practice to optimize team and individual skill development
  5. Assists in scheduling home and away contests
  6. Assists in coordinating travel and assists supervising team members during off-campus travel
  7. Assists in fundraising initiatives that support the program’s budget
  8. Performs secondary duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

  1. Performs responsibilities and meets identified objectives in an efficient manner and strives to fulfill the college’s strategic plan. 
  2. Works positively in a collaborative role within the Athletic Department and with other College stakeholders. 
  3. Strives for excellence in performance of responsibilities and expectations of providing a positive athletic experience for student-athletes. 
  4. Knows and abides by College and department policies, guidelines, procedures and expectations.

Qualifications:

  1. Related bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of college or related coaching experience.
  2. Evidence of excellent coaching and organizational skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain quality student-athletes.
  4. Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with a diverse population.
