Join our Credit Review team and make a meaningful impact by helping us maintain strong credit quality across Consumer and Community Banking, International Consumer, and Wealth Management portfolios. You’ll work with talented colleagues and business partners, gaining visibility to management while advancing your expertise in credit risk.
As a Credit Review Vice President within our Internal Audit Team, you will lead and execute periodic credit reviews, guide team members in evaluating retail loan transactions, and provide independent opinions on underwriting analysis and credit management processes. You’ll monitor credit risk trends, attend key meetings, and build relationships with stakeholders responsible for credit approval. This role offers the opportunity to shape credit quality and support firmwide standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead credit review teams as reviewer-in-charge, chairing planning, kick-off, findings presentation, and closing meetings
- Coordinate team assignments, define project scope, evaluate credit risk controls, and communicate with management
- Review and assess findings, recommend corrective actions, write reports, and archive documents
- Participate in credit review assignments by preparing financial analyses and risk assessments
- Evaluate credit underwriting quality, record findings, and engage in review meetings
- Perform continuous monitoring of assigned portfolios and participate in portfolio review meetings
- Serve as an information resource on retail credit risk and policy
- Partner with Business and Credit Risk Management stakeholders to establish strong working relationships while maintaining independence
- Ensure consistent application of firmwide Risk Policy and Credit Review Policies and Procedures
- Advance the use of data analytics within the Credit Review function
- Complete special projects and research as assigned by the Credit Review Director

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experienced credit professional with minimum 10 years of credit experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
- Demonstrated understanding of retail credit principles and strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present complex and sensitive issues to management
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective in a dynamic fast-paced environment, and willing to demonstrate personal responsibility and accountability
- Proven ability and desire to learn quickly, be adaptable, and think strategically
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, with a high sense of urgency
- Works well individually and in teams, shares information, supports colleagues, and encourages participation
- Ability to travel as required

- Background in retail credit underwriting and credit risk management
- Successful completion of formal credit training program
- Previous credit review experience
