Document Control Specialist – Technical Editor

We are seeking a Document Control Specialist – Technical Editor to manage the lifecycle of critical documentation while ensuring accuracy, traceability, and alignment with regulatory and quality standards.


In this role, you will support engineering, quality, and regulatory teams by maintaining controlled documents, performing technical editing, and helping ensure that records and procedures meet the strict requirements of a highly regulated environment.

️ What You’ll Do

  • Write and edit technical documents including design records, manuals, operating procedures, reports, and analyses.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of controlled documents, including development, formatting, approval workflows, version control, and archiving.
  • Maintain document templates, style guides, and formatting standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Track, issue, reconcile, and archive records within the document management system.
  • Provide document control and records management guidance and training to employees.
  • Support NRC licensing activities and audits, including retrieving documentation and preparing regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain document access controls and ensure proper handling of sensitive information.
  • Ensure compliance with NRC, NQA-1, and other regulatory requirements related to documentation and records management.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and compliance teams to produce clear, accurate, and compliant documentation.



What You’ll Bring

  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-Clearance.
  • 5+ years of document management experience in nuclear or other highly regulated technical industries.
  • Strong technical writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of Quality Management Systems, documentation lifecycle management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with Electronic Records and Document Management Systems (ERDMS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the DevonWay document management system.
  • Active DOE/NRC Q-Clearance or equivalent (DOD Top Secret).
  • Nuclear industry experience, including familiarity with NQA-1 quality program requirements.
  • Experience with enterprise document management software platforms.
