Job DetailsJob Location: Wilmington, MA - Wilmington, MA 01887Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $28.00 - $32.00 HourlyJob Shift: DayShift: M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm Position Summary: The Driver/Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe operation of company-owned or leased tractor-trailer, straight truck or tanker vehicles in the delivery of goods to designated customers. This position supports warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving, customer deliveries, and transportation compliance while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service. The role requires flexibility to perform warehouse duties, operate material handling equipment, prepare shipments, and safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials to customers in accordance with DOT, OSHA, ISO, and company requirements. Essential Functions: May include one or more of the following:  Safely operate company-owned tractor-trailers, straight trucks, tankers, and other commercial vehicles, including but not limited to observance of local and interstate traffic laws and applicable traffic and safety regulations Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections, must report any malfunctions Transport products safely while complying with DOT regulations governing the operation of commercial vehicles engaged in hazmat deliveries and company policies Verify shipping documents, delivery paperwork, and customer requirements Checking and following directions on shipping papers and signing for required actions on delivery and returning completed paperwork Checking load requirements, properly securing all loads using approved blocking, bracing, and strapping methods, and loading freight vehicles with a forklift Ensure proper placarding, labeling, and documentation for hazardous materials Responsible for chocking wheels during deliveries and for observing safe and any customer required delivery procedures. When returning a trailer back to our facility, they will chock the tires. If the tractor is removed, they will put a trailer stand under it. Must know and abide by hazardous waste regulations for materials and containers. Must inspect returned containers to be sure they are empty. Complete mileage logs, inspection reports, and required regulatory documentation Receive, inspect, stage, store, and ship products using established procedures. Utilize warehouse management systems and scanners to receive and fulfill customer orders Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and material handling equipment. Package products for LTL, parcel, and customer shipments. Rotate inventory, maintain proper stock locations, and conduct cycle counts Load and prepare empty containers and drums for return or reconditioning. Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse work areas. Complete end-of-day inspections and housekeeping responsibilities. Follow emergency response procedures when necessary  Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation, Experience and Skills Required: High school diploma or GED Valid CDL (Class A or B as applicable) with HazMat endorsement Forklift certification Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Ability to meet DOT physical requirements Strong commitment to workplace safety Basic computer and scanner experience   Additional Notes: Frequently lift up to 50 pounds Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance Move drums weighing up to 750 pounds using appropriate equipment Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and material handling equipment Climb in and out of commercial vehicles Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
