Wilmington School of the Arts is a tuition-free, public charter school. We offer a public school education with the opportunity for project based learning and arts integrated curricula and lessons. WSA infuses music, language, dance, and visual arts into our everyday academic curriculum, while also ensuring that students get their academic needs met by following all NC grade level content standards. Wilmington School of the Arts is seeking a committed, team-oriented EC teacher to deliver instruction on our Floral Campus for students in the first grade. Wilmington school of the Arts is a small tight knit family feel, with very active families and staff members, so collaboration is important to our team.

We are looking for an EC Teacher who will:

• Work with the school Administrative Team, which includes our EC Director, and make plans with school staff to best serve the individual needs of our student body and EC population.
• Have knowledge of grade level content, as well as ways to differentiate and deliver instruction
• Be well-versed in ECATS and understand matters of legal compliance as it pertains to EC
• Be student-centered and advocate for the best interest of students within their caseload
• Have a thoughtful, and caring demeanor when dealing with students and parents. Our school uses positive discipline as our model for student and family interactions, and we expect all staff to be a part of upholding this culture.
• Work with a diverse group of learners and be willing to problem solve within a team to help those learners be successful

E.C. Licensed in N.C. Required.
