Electrical & I&C Integration Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Integration Engineer to support the installation, integration, and commissioning of critical electrical and control systems in a highly regulated environment.


Reporting to the Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Manager and working closely with engineering, operations, and field teams, this role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who thrives in field execution, system integration, and commissioning activities.

What You’ll Do


Electrical & I&C Integration Support

  • Assist with the integration of electrical power and I&C systems, including field instrumentation, control panels, and automation systems
  • Support installation, wiring, and termination of electrical and I&C equipment such as MCCs, control panels, PLC cabinets, and field devices
  • Read, interpret, and mark up electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and schematics


Testing, Commissioning & Startup

  • Perform loop checks, point-to-point checks, and functional testing
  • Support commissioning and startup activities, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs)
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues during construction, commissioning, and operations


Field Coordination & Execution

  • Coordinate with electricians, equipment operators, engineers, and vendors to resolve integration issues
  • Support system integration efforts to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation
  • Follow GLE procedures and support compliance with electrical, process, and site safety requirements


Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

  • Maintain compliance with all GLE safety requirements and procedures
  • Immediately report any safety or environmental incidents, unsafe conditions, or near misses
  • Adhere to environmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform safety and risk assessment duties as assigned by management


 What You’ll Bring

  • Active DOE/NRC Q-Clearance or equivalent or eligible 
  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent training in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation & Controls, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical and/or I&C technician or integration roles within industrial, energy, or infrastructure environments
  • Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and industrial control systems
  • Experience with field instrumentation and signal types (analog, digital, HART)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to safety and quality

Due to the sensitive nature of our work, U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-Clearance, as well as ongoing site access, are required.
