The Sprinkler Installation Supervisor oversees the planning, installation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with safety codes, project specifications, and quality standards. This role leads installation crews, coordinates with contractors and inspectors, manages schedules and materials, and ensures work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The supervisor also provides technical guidance, conducts inspections and testing, and maintains accurate project documentation while enforcing workplace safety practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work as Direct Supervisor to Sprinkler Fitters for development and continuity.
  • Act in a lead capacity to manage groups on projects, ensuring apprentices and fitters follow direction and work independently when needed.
  • Work with the Installation Manager, design team, and Project Managers to ensure installations are to code and in budget.
  • Review job forecasting with Project Managers and work with them to schedule fitters for jobs.
  • Handle timecard approvals for Sprinkler Fitters and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Interact with customers in a mature and professional manner.
  • Ensure installations adhere to NFPA 13 (Installation), NFPA 25 (Maintenance), and other applicable codes and regulations.
  • Ensure work is performed safely, adhering to company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Oversee the inspection and maintenance of the truck and warehouse equipment, submitting repair requests to maintain safe operation.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Fire Sprinkler installation experience with commercial and residential systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • NICET Certification preferred (requires prior experience or training).
  • Knowledge of NFPA 13, 13D, 13R, and 25 is essential. Knowledge of NFPA 70 and 72 is a plus.
  • Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to act in a lead capacity and manage teams with good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling, including occasional evenings, weekends, and out-of-town assignments.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
