Description

 

HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:

  • EPA certified
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
  • Be familiar with a wide range of HVAC equipment and troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience making HVAC repair and replace decisions
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner

HVAC Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • Provide hand and power tools
  • Layout, design, and install low voltage wiring
  • Compile a complete materials list from blueprints
  • Verify and coordinate building code compliance
  • Communicate clearly the ideas and explanations of problems to customers and co-workers
  • Troubleshooting equipment, make HVAC system repair and replace decisions
  • Acquire commercial and residential HVAC maintenance agreements
  • Writing work order for projects sold
  • Responsible for follow-up process on each work order
  • Coordinate and remain current on all local utility programs
  • Converse with facilities engineers, building and homeowners, and general contractors
  • Maintain professional appearance at all times
  • Run after hours calls as required
  • Other duties as assigned
