National Peening is currently seeking a ­­­­­Machine Operator to join our Team in Wilmington, NC.

What You Will Do

General

• Operate various machines in the plant including tumble blast wheel, planetary table wheel, swing table wheel. 
• Operation of blast room elements including pressure pot, elevator screw auger assembly and controls.
• Check parts prior to shot peening operation for damage, dings, dents, scratches etc. Report defects to supervisor prior to shot peening operation.
• Wear all required protective clothing, including steel toed shoes, welding gloves and air supplied helmet as necessary.
• Understand and perform work to written instructions.
• Correctly complete all paper work relative to process performed.

What We Want From You

• Two year’s experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably operating a variety of machines in order to display understanding of operating steps and safety
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, and overtime when required
• Must be able to occasionally list and/or move up to 50 lbs
