Purpose:
Administers nursing care for and treats patients in medical office, as directed by Physician, Advanced Clinical Provider, or supervising department manager, by performing the following duties
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Â
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Performs telephone triage as needed
- Taking complete, accurate messages from patients and relaying them to appropriate physician
- Schedules, coordinates and reschedules all patient appointments (includes office, outpatient procedures, hospitals, and other medical facilities)
- Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow-up/intervention
- Documents assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely
- Develops patient education materials, triage protocols, and clinical guidelines in collaboration with physicians
- Uses computer system efficiently and accurately
- Provides patient/staff education
- Oversees LPN's and MA's
- Perform wound care/wound dressings
- Review pre-op/post-op instructions with patients undergoing surgery
- Performs specialty procedures as trained and as needed, as well as assisting M.D. with patients in office:
- IV therapy
- IV/Blood product infusions
- Arteriogram
- Fistulogram
- Venous Laser Ablation
- Port Placements
- Perm Cath removals
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Other Duties:

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- North Carolina or Compact RN license
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Experience in Vascular procedure area
- Experience with peripheral angiography and interventional procedures
- Experience in an Endovascular procedure lab
- Wound Care experience associated with peripheral artery disease, i.e. venous stasis, amputation, and/or incisional wounds
ADA Physical Demands:
