We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is responsible for the design, development, validation, and production support of electrical systems used in advanced safety control products. The position requires expertise in signal analysis, power conversion, mixed-signal hardware design, and PCB development, along with strong cross-functional collaboration to deliver certified, high-reliability products from concept through high-volume manufacturing.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Design and develop electrical interfaces and hardware for electrical systems, including power, control, supervisory, regulatory, digital, analog circuits and industry-standard interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).Â
- Research emerging technologies and propose circuit architectures and topologies; perform loss analysis, FMEA, evaluate performance, efficiency, thermal behavior, and cost targets to support future product platforms.Â
- Perform modeling, simulation, and verification using analytical and circuit simulation toolsÂ
- Perform board bring-up including signal integrity and waveform analysis and incorporate EMI/RFI mitigation and thermal management techniques.Â
- Perform schematic capture and initial component placement and layout and collaborate with PCB designers to complete detailed layout; review PCB layouts for component placement, routing, DFM/DFT, and associated documentation prior to procurement and production release.Â
- Develop and execute test methods and validation plans; analyze results and verify compliance with requirements and applicable regulatory and qualification standardsÂ
- Test and troubleshoot designs using industry-standard laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, etc.)Â
- Support production by addressing component obsolescence, identifying alternate components, and managing design changesÂ
- Collaborate with firmware, software, manufacturing, quality, compliance, supply chain, marketing, and sales teams throughout the product lifecycleÂ
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including requirements, test plans, validation reports, ECOs, and customer-facing technical materialsÂ
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews and provide technical input to senior leadershipÂ
Required Key Skills and Qualifications Â
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experienceÂ
- Full PCBA lifecycle, including requirements definition, schematic capture, layout review, verification, test, and production supportÂ
- Designing and Troubleshooting power conversion circuits and topologiesÂ
- EMI/RFI mitigation and thermal management techniquesÂ
- Power, timing, and signal integrity analysisÂ
- Component selection, derating, and reliability analysisÂ
- Bench-level integration, testing, troubleshooting, and test results interpretationÂ
- Simulation and analysis tools such as PSpice/LTSpice, MATLAB, or equivalentÂ
- Schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium experience is a plus)Â
- Solid understanding of digital control using embedded controllers, firmware interaction, and communication protocolsÂ
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes, production variability, packaging, and supply-chain considerationsÂ
- Demonstrated ability to take products from concept through qualification and high-volume productionÂ
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsÂ
- Effective communicator and collaborator across cross-functional teamsÂ
