JOB SUMMARYÂ
The Director of Operations works under the supervision of the Senior Director ofÂ
Operations and has responsibility for: Â
• Driving Well Care’s culture, mission, vision, and values throughout the assignedÂ
MarketÂ
• Providing effective and strong leadership to all Market teamsÂ
• Promoting a positive working environment and culture that engages and fulfillsÂ
all teams and minimizes regrettable turnoverÂ
• Managing and overseeing all operations to ensure the consistent delivery of highÂ
quality and profitable home health services, as well as results for operational andÂ
financial key metrics. Â
• Assuring Market’s compliance with all applicable rules, regulations andÂ
standards. Â Â
• Overseeing and driving experience excellence for patients, families, referralsÂ
sources, and vendor partnersÂ
• Planning, developing, implementing and evaluating home health services,Â
programs and activities. Â Â
• Performing other appropriate duties as assigned.Â
PRIMARY JOB DUTIESÂ
1. Collaborates with clinical, administrative and support staff to assess, plan,Â
implement and evaluate home health services which meet the needs andÂ
expectations of the community, patients, staff and other internal/external customers.Â
2. Ensures agency compliance with applicable laws, regulations and accreditationÂ
standards.Â
3. Direct community outreach efforts to build and maintain a high level of communityÂ
involvement and visibilityÂ
4. Collaborates with clinical, administrative and support staff to develop, implementÂ
and monitor the annual operating budget.Â
5. Contributes to program effectiveness.Â
6. Organizes and performs work effectively and efficiently.Â
7. Maintains and adjusts schedule to enhance the Market’s performance.Â
8. Demonstrates a daily commitment to the values and culture of Well Care.Â
9. Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with all members of theÂ

JOB SPECIFICATIONSÂ
1. Education: RN or PT from an accredited school with minimum of a BachelorsÂ
Degree preferred.  Master’s Degree in nursing or health related field preferred.Â
2. Licensure / Certification: Must possess a current valid RN or PT license in theÂ
State in which providing leadership (NC/SC). Â Must have 3+ years experience inÂ
Operations Management in a healthcare setting.Â
3. Experience: 3-5 years home health experience. Minimum of 3-5 yearsÂ
progressively responsible management experience in a healthcare or related field.Â
4. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Extensive knowledge of home care principlesÂ
and practice. Â Extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations andÂ
accreditation standards which impact home health operations. Â ExtensiveÂ
knowledge of principles and practice of personnel management and conflictÂ
resolution. Â Demonstrated ability to speak clearly, to answer the telephone and beÂ
computer literate.Â
5. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to interact andÂ
communicate in a tactful, professional manner with staff, physicians, managementÂ
team, etc.Â
6. Essential Physical Requirements: Demonstrated ability to speak clearly andÂ
effectively before small and large groups. Â Ability to communicate orally and inÂ
writing and be literate in the English language. Â Demonstrated ability to sit forÂ
extended periods of time. Â Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and inÂ
writing. Â Must be able to get from home health office to patient homes and/orÂ
referral sources such as the hospital or doctor’s offices.Â
7. Essential Mental Requirements: Demonstrated ability to perform basic statisticalÂ
calculations. Â Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data. Â Ability to forecastÂ
staffing and service development needs based on statistical data. Â Ability toÂ
analyze regulations/standards and to operationalize them appropriately. Â Ability toÂ
assess and evaluate staff and agency performance. Â Ability to explain/teach staffÂ
from a variety of educational backgrounds. Â Must possess long and short-termÂ
memory and high-level reasoning and problem solving skills.Â
8. Essential sensory requirements: Ability to see, hear and communicate verbally.Â
9. Exposure to Hazards: Works essentially inside an office environment. May beÂ
exposed to hazards when making joint home visits, including but no limited toÂ
dangerous animals, traffic hazards, threatening patient encounters.Â
10. Hours of Work: Hours are flexible to meet the needs of the agency.Â
11. Must have valid North Carolina driver’s license and an operational vehicle.Â
