Role Overview

The Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services within the residential program. You will ensure excellence in clinical care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and patient safety while fostering a supportive, professional nursing culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the nursing department
• Ensure delivery of safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and nursing workflows across shifts
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and internal protocols, ASAM and MOUD assessments.
• Collaborate with medical providers, therapists, and executive leadership
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of nursing staff
• Monitor quality metrics, audits, and performance improvement initiatives
• Promote a calm, therapeutic residential milieu aligned with The Grove Estate’s mission

What We’re Looking For

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Prior nursing leadership experience (Director, Manager, or Charge Nurse level preferred)
• Behavioral health, substance use, or residential treatment experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams with professionalism, empathy, and accountability
• Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and regulatory knowledge
• Commitment to patient-centered, dignity-focused care
