Duties

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and oral health assessments for patients
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care
  • Assist in the management of patient medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Conduct periodontal assessments and charting, documenting findings accurately in medical records
  • Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to infection control standards
  • Stay updated on current dental practices, technologies, and regulations relevant to the field
  • Provide support in pediatric dentistry as needed, ensuring a positive experience for younger patients

Qualifications

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
  • Experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures and best practices
  • Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning within the field
