Job DetailsJob Location: Cornet - Winchester, VA 22602Position Type: Full TimeFire Alarm Install Technician Summary Responsible for fire alarm installations, retrofits, and tenant build-outs, identifying code and non-conformance issues, and preparing accurate and timely field reports.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform commercial electrical installations, service, and maintenance Install conduit, pull wire, terminate electrical and low-voltage devices Interpret electrical and fire alarm drawings, blueprints, and specifications Ensure work is completed to code (NEC, NFPA 70; NFPA 72 if applicable) Communicate effectively with foremen, project managers, and inspectors Maintain clean and safe work areas and proper documentation of work performed   Education and/or Experience 2+ years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician Strong understanding of electrical systems, including conduit installation, wiring, and terminations Ability to read and interpret electrical and construction drawings Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail Preferred: Experience installing or assisting with fire alarm systems Familiarity with NFPA 72 and local fire codes Low-voltage license or NICET certification (or willingness to obtain) OSHA 10 or 30 certification Company Overview  Cornet, who joined Century Fire Protection in 2020, delivers innovative, industry-leading fire protection & building analytics solutions.
