Job Description:

Winchester Hospital, a proud member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, has a CT Tech opening on our CT Team. Be part of the mission to deliver exceptional personalized care within our 5x Magnet-designated, Top 10 Massachusetts recognized 229-bed hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • How to perform safety and quality checks, including verifying exam orders.

  • Completing CT examinations following established exam protocols-established by CT Radiologist.

  • Entering examinations correctly, ensuring accurate and informative documentation and appropriate charges are entered.

  • How to electronically send and store images and data appropriately in PACS.

  • Departmental procedures for maintaining records and logs to monitor quality and safety in accordance with departmental policies.

  • Equipment cleaning and maintaining a safe work environment presenting the best possible impression of facilities and fostering our culture of safety.

  • Experience with supply and equipment issues to ensure optimum operations, equipment quality and long-term equipment maintenance and life.

  • Transporting and providing ambulatory assistance to patients as necessary.

  • Education process and how to inform patients and family members throughout the patients' experience.

  • Communication effectively with the healthcare team utilizing established handoff procedures. Gives and accepts respectful feedback to enhance teamwork and the clinical training experience.

  • Minimizing preventable harm events and consistently executing the infection control protocols. Incorporates the Culture of Safety tools in daily practice, adhering to quality and safety guidelines and communicating near-miss or potential risks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Required: 聽Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology

Preferred:聽 Advance education in CAT scan technology

Experience: Required: 聽One year diagnostic technology

Preferred:聽 One year of CT

Other Skills/Knowledge:

Required:聽 For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS:聽

Required:聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Massachusetts State license in Radiology and CT

Schedule: 4 - 10 hour shifts from 7a-5:30p with Every/Other Sunday and 2 major holidays per year.

Pay Range:

$47.00 - $69.84

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography聽of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.聽 Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
