The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to the Program Manager, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record in managing complex government programs. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively coordinate multiple project elements while maintaining focus on contract goals and objectives, and who possesses the ability to communicate complex analytical findings to diverse audiences. Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance is necessary to support our government customer.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Deputy Program Manager will serve as the primary support to the Program Manager in all aspects of project execution.
- Support the Program Manager in day-to-day project execution, oversight, and strategic planning activities
- Take primary responsibility for specific tasks or functional areas of the project as assigned by the Program Manager
- Lead risk management efforts including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and tracking of project risks
- Drive problem resolution activities, identifying issues early and implementing effective solutions
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with contract goals, objectives, and deliverables
- Provide research and threat analysis and production support as required
- Develop information and technical support documents, summaries, reports, presentations, and other designated products in support of the requestor's information and technical support requirements
- Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular status updates to the Program Manager
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, team members, and leadership to maintain project alignment
- Communicate findings and results of mathematical analysis to non-technical audiences through written reports and oral presentations
- Assist in resource allocation and workload balancing across project teams
- Support development and maintenance of project documentation, schedules, and reporting requirements
- Step in to lead the program in the Program Manager's absence, ensuring continuity of operations
- Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed
- Contribute to quality assurance processes and ensure adherence to contract requirements
- Support budget tracking and financial management activities
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices
- Evaluate and develop methods to accomplish functional objectives
- Successfully administer the Performance Work Statement objectives

Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field from an accredited college or university
- 7+ years of progressive program or project management experience
- 3+ years of experience in a deputy, assistant, or associate program management role
- Experience managing government contracts or programs

- Professional skills in program management and leadership
- Proven ability to support complex, multi-faceted programs with multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to identify issues proactively and develop effective solutions
- Demonstrated experience in risk management, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional communication skills in English – both written and oral – and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing routine computer applications, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Google Chrome, and services that operate utilizing these software packages
- Skills in oral presentations and communication of instructions concerning mathematical analysis
- Ability to write reports or documents that convey the findings/results of mathematical analysis to non-technical audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inform and communicate effectively with staff who have various backgrounds and personality types
- Skilled in evaluating and developing methods to accomplish functional objectives
- Ability to successfully administer Performance Work Statement objectives
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Experience with budget tracking and financial reporting
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong working relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities
- Experience providing research and threat analysis support
- Ability to develop technical support documents, summaries, reports, and presentations
- Capability to ensure operational coverage for all critical areas to meet organizational requirements and priorities
