About the Role

As an Instrumentation & Electrical Controls (IEC) Technician, you’ll help keep our production systems sharp, calibrated, and compliant while playing a key role in the fight against plastic pollution.

⚙️ What You’ll Do
âś… Calibrate + maintain process instruments
âś… Troubleshoot PLCs, controls, and motors
âś… Perform preventative + emergency maintenance
âś… Ensure safety + compliance across systems
âś… Contribute to process optimization + training

  • Troubleshoot 3-phase 480VAC equipment, motors, VFDs, soft starts, MCCs, and switchgear
  • Perform field calibration of instrumentation and controls (pressure, flow, temperature, pH, DO, valve positioners, etc.)
  • Maintain and repair DCS, DeltaV, and Rockwell/Allen Bradley systems
  • Execute fault analysis to prevent recurring equipment failures
  • Accurately document PM activities and maintain system logs
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and cGMP protocols
  • Support validation, housekeeping audits, and cross-functional troubleshooting
  • Train and mentor new or developing IEC Technicians
What You Bring
âś” Associate degree in Instrumentation/Electrical (preferred)
âś” Electrical license preferred
âś” 2+ years' experience with industrial instrumentation + controls
âś” Knowledge of analog, HART, Fieldbus, DeviceNet, AS-I, and IP devices
âś” Proficiency in Microsoft Suite + CMMS software
âś” Strong problem-solving, safety, and communication skills
âś” Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
âś” Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks on ladders and in tight spaces

⏰ Shift + Environment
Start-up flexibility required with availability
Full-time | 12-hour shifts (day/night) | Mostly every other weekend OFF

  • Frequent exposure to hot/cold environments, airborne particles, and mechanical systems
  • Loud environments—hearing protection required in designated areas
  • Some work performed in a shared, air-conditioned IEC office space
