Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, and preparation for laboratory testing.
- Conduct diagnostic laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, immunology, and other moderate-complexity testing areas.
- Analyze and verify test results, identifying discrepancies and taking appropriate corrective action when needed.
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform quality control procedures, proficiency testing, and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Process, prepare, and coordinate specimens for reference laboratory testing and maintain patient testing records.
- Assist with specialized procedures and support providers with clinical diagnostic services.
- Monitor laboratory inventory, prepare reagents and solutions, and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, quality assurance standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Protect patient confidentiality while delivering accurate, timely laboratory results that support exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related science field.
- AMT, ASCP, or equivalent certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Three or more years of clinical laboratory experience performing patient testing.
- Experience performing hematology and chemistry testing in a clinical laboratory.
- Experience with laboratory quality control, instrument maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Experience in a high-volume outpatient or oncology laboratory setting.

Requires corrected vision, color perception and hearing to normal range. Requires legible handwriting.
