What we’re looking forÂ
The Medical Staff Coordinator assist medical staff organization in the activities of the organization with knowledge of regulatory and/or accrediting agencies, interpreting standards and implementing change. Responsible for medical staff credentialing process. Acts as a liaison between health system administration, medical staff, hospital staff and the Governing Body. This role reports to the Director of Physician Practices.

How you’ll contributeÂ
Complete Provider credentialing and Provider onboarding scheduling.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements.Â
Assist with Locum recruitment and is responsible for Locum scheduling.Â
Complete affiliation verifications.Â
Other miscellaneous Medical Staff Functions such as interpreting/implementing Medical Staff Bylaws and assisting Providers as needed.Â
Compose, type, and transcribe correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications.Â
Receive, screen, and route visitors and telephone calls.Â
Respond to, escalate, and follow up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.Â

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:Â High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or higher preferred. Â
1 year experience in a Medical office setting preferred.
Required Skills:Â
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Works independently with proven organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgmentÂ
Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8am-4:30pm; must be available for monthly meetings that begin at 7-7:30am and quarterly meetings 5:30pm-8:00pm; no call; no weekends; no holidays
