Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine) – Outpatient | Winsted, CT

Academic Primary Care Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a Board Eligible or Board Certified Family Medicine Physician to join a newly established rural family medicine residency program as a Core Faculty Physician. This full-time position combines outpatient clinical practice with teaching, mentoring, and academic leadership, offering the chance to help train the next generation of family medicine physicians while providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.

Located in the scenic Litchfield Hills, this position offers the professional fulfillment of academic medicine along with an exceptional quality of life in a welcoming New England community.

Position Highlights

  • Academic Primary Care Physician with combined clinical and faculty responsibilities
  • 100% outpatient, office-based primary care
  • Care for patients from birth through adulthood (no obstetrics)
  • Full-time, weekday schedule
  • Mix of patient care, resident precepting, teaching, and administrative responsibilities
  • Minimal phone-only call:
    • One weekday call approximately every 6 weeks
    • Approximately two weekend call rotations per year

Qualifications
