About the Role

As a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Microbiology Technician, you'll play a hands-on role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality and safety standards while supporting manufacturing in a cGMP environment.

What You'll Do

As a QA/QC Microbiology Technician, you will be responsible for supporting daily laboratory operations through microbiological testing, documentation, and quality monitoring. 

Key Responsibilities

·       Prepare microbiological media and laboratory samples for testing
·       Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
·       Operate, calibrate, and perform basic maintenance on laboratory equipment
·       Accurately complete laboratory documentation, logbooks, and electronic records in compliance with cGMP standards
·       Enter and maintain testing data within LIMS and ERP systems
·       Communicate testing results and quality updates with laboratory and manufacturing teams
·       Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain audit-ready documentation
·       Maintain clean, organized laboratory work areas in accordance with GMP and safety standards
·       Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
·       Support additional laboratory activities as assigned

 

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field
·       Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
·       Effective written and verbal communication skills
·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of laboratory supporting cGMP manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as pH meters, microscopes, balances, and spectrophotometers
  • Experience with microbiological testing, laboratory documentation, and LIMS systems
  • Knowledge of quality systems, investigations, and corrective actions
Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Frequent use of hands for laboratory testing, sample preparation, and computer work.
  • Ability to distinguish laboratory alarms and other audible notifications.
  • Clear near vision for laboratory instrumentation, sample preparation, and computer work.
  • Exposure to laboratory chemicals, biological materials, manufacturing environments, moving equipment, airborne particles, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to maintain safe laboratory practices while handling chemicals and laboratory equipment.
