Education/Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of security experience or one year successful completion toward a degree in Criminal Justice or Certified Healthcare Security Officer.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS
Required: Current Class D Drivers License Crisis Prevention Intervention Certificate (Employees must be certified within 1 year of hire date. Employees must receive yearly re-certification).
LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION
Required: BLS or Heart Saver
JOB FUNCTIONS
路 Performs one to one and close observation of patients in a safe and professional manner in collaboration with Patient Care Services.
路 Conducts interior and exterior patrols to inspect the grounds for criminal activity, and health and safety hazards.
路 Provides one to one patient observation for at risk patients throughout the organization to keep the patient and others safe.
路 Records and reports security and safety related incidents.
路 Provides safety escorts upon request.
路 Enforces parking regulations and assists with traffic control.
路 Investigates lost or stolen items.
路 Investigates alarms and emergency calls immediately.
路 Reacts to emergency codes expediently to follow through on the situation until parties are safe or the situation is resolved.
路 Responds to customer service requests in a timely manner with an emphasis on improving
the patient experience.
路 Supports shuttle services in daily duties, inclement weather and emergency situations by driving employees as needed.
路 Transports bodies and body parts to the morgue, filing essential documentation timely and accurately.

Pay Range:
$20.00 - $24.87The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography聽of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.聽 Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
