Job Summary

We're looking for a Production Engineer to support the repair and overhaul of critical gas turbine engine components. This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, process capability, on-time delivery, and operational performance. The Production Engineer provides technical support to manufacturing operations while leading continuous improvement initiatives and supporting specialized repair processes such as heat treatment, brazing, blending, grit blasting, plasma spray, or other aerospace manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide day-to-day engineering support for production operations, including troubleshooting, yield improvement, rework reduction, and disposition of non-conforming material.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities to improve quality, performance, and process reliability.
  • Drive production readiness and process capability for manufacturing equipment within assigned process areas.
  • Design, develop, and implement tooling, fixtures, gauges, and process improvements that enhance productivity and quality.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, operating procedures, training materials, and quality records.
  • Support employee training on equipment operation, process controls, and best practices.
  • Partner with maintenance teams to develop and improve preventive maintenance programs for critical production equipment.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a science-based discipline such as Materials Science, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting production processes, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience conducting root cause and corrective action investigations.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Siemens NX or similar CAD platforms.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams.

 

Nice to Have

  • Aerospace manufacturing, MRO, or gas turbine engine experience.
  • Experience supporting special processes such as heat treatment, brazing, thermal spray, grit blasting, or blending operations.
  • CNC or robotic programming experience.
  • Ability to read PLC logic and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Green Belt certification.
  • Experience working within AS9100 or other aerospace quality management systems.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
  • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching throughout the workday.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety requirements.
