We are looking for a Saw Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities
Â
The Saw Operator is responsible for pulling material/verifying, processing material through band saw and plate saws, performing all work order requirements, meeting all production lead time and quality control measures, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Set up and operate band saws to cut aluminum, alloy, stainless steels, titanium, and other exotic metals to specified dimensions.
- Read work order for specifications, like material, type and size of stock and dimensions to be cut.
- Retrieve material and transfer stock to band saws manually, with forklift, or by crane.
- Install saw blades in band saws and set blade cutting speed for specified operation.
- Removal of band saw blades.
- Follow all work instructions pertaining to job.
- Input data to set band saw parameters based on shop order specifications.
- May manually position material using back stops in band saw.
- Turn valve to start flow of coolant against cutting area.
- Operate band saw and observe cutting operation.
- Measure work for conformance to specifications, using ruler, tape measure, and measuring calipers.
- Â Mark identifying data on product.
- Â Move material with forklift/crane.
- Â Data input into computer inventory system.
- Â Follow all quality inspections and quality requirements regarding work orders and Quality Procedure Manual.
-  Follow all JSA’s for equipment worked.
- Â Follow all Safety procedures.

Function in the Job
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Required Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent minimum.
- Ability to quickly learn multiple functions in a complex industry.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of operating industrial equipment, Band saws preferred.
- Good mathematical skills, including measurements.
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
- Ability to use and read measuring equipment such as calipers and measuring tape.
- Ability to operate a crane/forklift.
- Self-motivated and can act on own initiative.
- Experienced working to targets and deadlines.
- Adaptable and have a positive attitude towards change.
- Motivated, communicative and goal oriented.
