About the Role

The candidate that will prosper in this role will be smart, dedicated, customer service driven, and willing to think outside of the box!

• Assist in posting customer payments by recording checks and credit card transactions.
• Perform a daily route settlement processing cycle.
• Respond to calls and emails regarding customer account activities.
• Review A/R aging reports for assigned chain customers and independent customers.
• Perform pricing corrections to customer invoices.
• Make telephone calls requesting payment from customers, when necessary.
• Assist in the review of billing, collection, and cash posting processes for efficiency and best practices.
• Other accounting tasks, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• An associate degree in accounting with an emphasis in accounting preferred but will consider additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Solid overall general skills in working with numbers, computer, and 10-key entry, organizing, and communicating in both verbal and written form.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software (Excel and Word preferred).
• Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to provide suggestions for the improvement of practices and to work with fellow employees as part of a team.
• Repetitive motion of wrist, fingers, and arms. Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
