Job Summary

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing production teams and support daily execution across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance. This role provides leadership, direction, and coaching to ensure production goals are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, customer service, operational excellence, and employee development

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for assigning and executing production schedules, developing employees, improving processes, and ensuring customer commitments are met, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Location: On-Site, Windsor, CT

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals
  • Coach, develop, and support production employees and team leads
  • Plan and prioritize work in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment
  • Manage staffing, labor utilization, overtime, and cross-training activities
  • Provide technical support for machining operations, blueprint interpretation, and process troubleshooting
  • Partner with Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance to meet customer commitments
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Monitor performance metrics, identify opportunities, and implement improvements
  • Promote employee engagement, accountability, and professional development
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment
  • Support operational escalations and provide backup leadership when needed

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree, technical degree, or trade school certification preferred
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience leading teams in a production environment
  • Strong knowledge of machining, manufacturing processes, and production operations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with production planning, workforce management, and operational metrics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

 

Nice to Have

  • Aerospace manufacturing or component repair experience
  • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, or Continuous Improvement experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Experience supporting customer audits and operational performance initiatives

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
