General Responsibility:

The Utility Technician is responsible to upkeep and repair task at the interior and exterior of the facilities to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs including janitorial responsibilities in certain areas such as sanitizer area to include trash routes, cGMP cleaning, and general recycling program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning facilities by sweeping, which includes running floor sweeper.
• Perform maintenance on general light fixtures.
• Performs routine landscaping on the grounds which includes picking up trash.

• General painting of the facility of walls and floors.
• Light carpentry and floor install such as vinyl tile and carpet are a must.
• General understanding of restrooms and associated plumbing repairs.
• Performs routine Preventative task such as emergency lighting check and air filters.
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency task such as snow removal or spreading of ice melt.

• Safely transport containers as needed by operating a forklift.
• Proficient in all safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of six months stable and verifiable work history required.

• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must not have more than one corrective action in the past (12) months.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work overtime as well as some irregular hours.  Due to working in a production environment, the exposure to noise is constant. Seasonal weather variations may result in frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions.  Physical stamina and being able to work in harsh weather conditions is a must in this job. Physical exertion such as pushing, pulling, kneeling or heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is frequent, as is work at heights, such as on ladders, roofs, and large tanks.
