Responsible for the daily/weekly maintenance of inventory records, product adjustments, cycle counting reports, and the manipulation of accurate data. Track all returned product as directed by the customer for close out of returns from various customers and entities. Work inside a Warehouse Management System to research inventory problems.Â

Job Responsibilities:
• Perform cycle counts and correct inventory as needed
• Ensure system count matches physical on-handsÂ
• Look for missing product in storage location
• Resolve discrepancies at pallet and location levelÂ
• Research and document root cause of quality error reports (QEs)
• Assist with clearing shorts in WMSÂ
• Use archive tools within the WMS to investigate inventory errors
• Use WMS to assist CTOs and management with inventory errors
• Work with customer to resolve store inventory claimsÂ
• Assist with consolidation effortsÂ
• Identify and classify damaged product. Move to appropriate holding area once damage process is completedÂ
• Seek out aging product and ensure it is ready for putaway or locate missing product
• Assist receiving with Special Order Service (SOS) errors
• Assist with training new inventory clerksÂ
• Identify new product and setup item in WMSÂ
• Make Item setup updates (Mass Updates) when neededÂ
• Work with Product Handling Champion/Management on safety concerns with storage locations/product handliningÂ
• Ensure packaging types are not mixed and correct if foundÂ
• Load reverse product into trailersÂ
• Assist XDT Operation when neededÂ
• Inspect product for damage using a safety cutter, flashlight and tape
• Communicate with cross-shift clerks on inventory needsÂ
• Use PIT Equipment to conduct indirect inventory work & other tasks as designated by managementÂ
• Work with customer on product recalls and write offsÂ
• Audit inbound POs for accuracyÂ
• Verify shorts, overages, and unexpected items. Document on receiving paperworkÂ
• Ensure damaged product in holding area is moved to appropriate reverse lanes when readyÂ
• Use MS Office Suite to perform various daily/weekly reportsÂ
• Be on-site for live less than truckload (LTL) offloadsÂ
• Use PIT equipment to fix product not stored correctlyÂ
• Assist with cutting/unpicking products from outbound loadsÂ
• Relabel License Plate Numbers (LPNs) when neededÂ
• Be on equipment up to 50% of shiftÂ
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• 2 years of general office experience preferredÂ
• 1 year of customer service experience preferredÂ
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• RF scanning system
• Must be approachableÂ
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
