Our people’s division is growing, and we are looking for Process Maintenance Superintendent at our Turquoise Ridge mine site. The Process Maintenance Superintendent will lead a team to safely achieve Electrical and Mechanical maintenance targets and objectives. Provides technical and analytical leadership across the areas of oversight to enable safe, predictable, stable, and effective mining operations.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute and track all Maintenance activities within the division (i.e., planning, scheduling, budgeting, reliability, and continuous improvement projects), ensuring short and long-term KPIs (2-3 years) are delivered on plan and within budget

  • Apply technical knowledge, skills, and experience to effectively plan, organize, support and coordinate delivery of maintenance and capital plans

  • Ensure all activities are carried out safely, consistently, efficiently and in accordance with environmental and other regulations and NGM standards, policies, and procedures. Monitor to ensure all incidents are reported and investigated and actioned appropriately 

  • Ensure team follows current safety procedures, adheres to regulations, and conducts all required safety inspections/audits. Monitor the effectiveness of critical controls for potential fatal and catastrophic events

  • Lead by example and establish a safety culture through daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings

  • Understand and monitor the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and processes action modifications as identified; analyze data to anticipate and diagnose problems; apply root cause analysis to eliminate problems; identify improvements so my team can be more effective and contribute to maximizing efficiencies, meeting goals, and minimizing costs

  • Manage department operating and capital budget (including staffing), monitor costs, and investigate/resolve variances to budget; ensure appropriate staffing levels and assignments are met for production needs

  • Build and maintain collaborative internal relationships with key departments (engineering, operations, mining, environment, growth, safety, and finance)

  • Develop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues

  • Identify shortcomings in existing business practices, then suggest and implement improvements while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organization's change management program. Involved working with guidance from senior colleagues

  • Monitor and review performance against HS&E KPIs, and patterns of behavior within the area of responsibility; take action to improve performance and to resolve non-compliance with the organization's HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions

  • Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential

 

            

Qualifications:

 

  • Ten (10) years’ experience in mine, construction or other industrial maintenance in progressively responsible positions

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/Computerized Maintenance Management System is required

  • General competency in utilizing Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required 

  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience supervising and directing people to achieve results

  • High school diploma required

  • Trade certification, AS/AAS or BS education or equivalent combination of experience and education
