The Third Judicial District is seeking to fill two Court Operations Associate positions to join the Winona County Court Administration team in Winona, MN.

The Court Operations Associate position is a fast paced, highly detail orientated position with a variety of responsibilities such as performing advanced clerical work, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with applicable court rules, policies, and standards.Â

This position will work directly with the public, judges, and justice partners. Duties require the application of independent judgment and the interpretation of established laws, policies, procedures, regulations based on training and knowledge gained through experience on the job.

What You Will DoÂ
Â
The following are examples of major job duties expected of this position:Â
- Perform the full range of court operation work that may involve responsibility for a specific area of court case processing Â
- Perform a variety of advanced clerical functions and multiple case typesÂ
- Provide assistance to attorneys, parties, self-represented litigants, judges, and the public by responding to a variety of questions in-person, over the phone, by mail, and/or electronically
- Provide courtroom support by working with judges, court reporters, and other justice partners.
- Review, enter, record, and update case information using an electronic case processing system and related applications and equipmentÂ
- Schedule and maintain court calendarsÂ
- Receive, process, and receipt payments due to the courtÂ
- Attend court and assist by calling cases, taking notes, and handling documents in the courtroom
- May perform the duties of an Electronic Recording Equipment Operator (EREO) including recording and monitoring court proceedings

- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of relevant job experience or greater, which may include but is not limited to customer service, administrative work, office, and clerical work

- Certificate or degree in a related fieldÂ
- Considerable knowledge of court procedures, policies, and records management
- Experience working with the court's electronic case processing system

- Knowledge of basic math
- Skill in navigating difficult situations and resolving conflict in a respectful and courteous manner

- Skill in the operation of a personal computer, including electronic case management system and related applications and equipment
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and in compliance with all applicable court rules, policies, and statutes
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Well organized, detail oriented, and analytical
