The production assembly team works with the scheduling, materials, and operations teams to accomplish work and provides necessary components to further processing.   The Role:  This position spends time assembling sub-assemblies and thermal chambers with other production team members. You will spend your time performing wire harnesses, insulation cutting, frame prep, door building, liner insulation and installation, thermo-electric module building, and insulating during and after test. This position may also assist final packaging and shipping, along with other duties as assigned. Responsibilities & QualificationsYou will spend your time: Maintaining clean and orderly workstations and equipment following 5s guidelines Completing tasks as designated by production schedules with minimum supervision Performing sub-assembly processes using power tools such as drills, grinders, pneumatic rivet guns, and Dremel tools on a daily basis Aligning and clamping work pieces together, using rule, square, template or set up, placing them in fixtures, jigs, or vise Reporting defective materials or safety concerns to the Cell Coordinators Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating work pieces Performing other duties assigned as needed   We are excited about you if you have: The ability to follow Manufacturing Instructions, Work Instructions, and wiring schematics The ability to manage your time efficiently and without direct supervision Ability to learn and adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations as well as LEAN manufacturing Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task and work in a constantly changing environment Ability to work well with others Ability to rotate to various workstations while working collaboratively with others as required Strong eye/hand coordination with the ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) Basic computer skills Ability to read and speak English Additional skills and abilities related to this position: Familiarity with and the ability to use the following tools: Panel saw, Band Saw, Rivet Gun, Manual and Pneumatic epoxy/silicone applicators, nibbler, and Plasma Cutter. The ability to read a tape measure and cut materials to precise dimensions using equipment such as panel saws and band saws Ability to quickly move your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects Ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specifications, blueprints, etc.   Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting and moving of lightweight materials up to 10 pounds Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance Frequent standing, up to 10-hour days Frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching and walking     Work Environment: Manufacturing setting   Travel: This position may travel between all RIS facilities. Infrequent travel for trainings and/or business needs may be required.
