Building and Equipment Maintenance and Groundskeeping

JOB SUMMARY

This is a part time role that helps keep all of the grounds, equipment, and building clean, sanitary, and in working order. This is a part time position with a flexible schedule. Starting pay for this position is $15.00 and the individuals wage will increase to $16.00 once they are fully trained and fully in the role with minimal supervision. It is primarily a morning position because most of the work needs to be done before we open.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Clean and maintain the restaurant grounds and equipment including but not limited to the areas:

-Dumpster Area – Including shed

-Asphalt, grass and landscaped areas

-General equipment maintenance and cleaning in the restaurant both front and back of house

2. Perform some of the following weekly and monthly tasks:

-Pressure wash awnings, sidewalks, drive thru, dumpster area, and parking stalls

-Weed and maintain all areas to a high standard

-Change air filters for restaurant HVAC units

3. Communicate with General Manager or Owner regarding what was done, what needs to be done, and if any items need to be purchased to maintain the grounds. A weekly plan will be devised before the week starts and a weekly report will be made at the end of the week.

4. Committed to teamwork demonstrating integrity and honesty while interacting with guests, team members and vendors.

5. Displays a positive, can-do attitude.

6. Reports to each shift in neat appropriate clothes. Maintains a neat, well groomed appearance including personal hygiene.

7. Reports to each shift on time. Is considered by peers as reliable and dependable.

8. Follows established restaurant safety and security practices and procedures.

9. Performs any other miscellaneous job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Friendly and detailed person who can work with little or no supervision. They also must be able to communicate with the General Manager or Owner regarding weekly tasks including filling out a weekly plan and a weekly report.
