Security Guard

Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by performing assigned duties at fixed posts, as well as conducting vehicle and foot patrols within the site’s interior and exterior premises.

Location: Camden, NJ 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Provide clear direction, information, and assistance to visitors, guests, vendors, and employees in a professional, courteous manner.
• Enforce security procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
• Conduct visual inspections of visitor, vendor, and employee access badges to verify identity and prevent unauthorized access.
• Monitor site premises for suspicious activity and report any irregularities, including unauthorized persons, theft, or property damage.
• Assist site personnel during emergencies by providing instructions and directions.
• Patrol the premises to detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Control and authorize the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other individuals to prevent theft and maintain security.
• Notify management of any security concerns, such as equipment malfunctions, property damage, or unusual incidents, without delay.
• Contact emergency services (police, fire department, etc.) when necessary.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to maintain order and protect property.

Requirements: 

• 3-5 years of experience in providing security
• Familiarity with the Camden police and community is a plus
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. (preferred)
• Command of the English language and ability to be clearly understood in English
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional Demeanor and Appearance
• High Level of Integrity
• Strong Work Ethic
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and with other security team members
• Prior proven experience (preferred but not necessary)

NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.

Physical Demands and Abilities include: Physical capability to perform patrol duties, including standing, walking, and responding quickly to incidents.
