Groundworks is seeking a talented Marketing Manager​  - Events to join our tribe!

The ideal candidate will have supported an Event Management program for a multi-location organization, be well versed in local recruiting of brand ambassadors, and have the ability to manage multiple teams of lead-generators.

The Groundworks Brand Ambassadors set up at local home shows and events to build brand awareness, and generate sales leads in our local markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Develop, enhance, and scale Groundworks’ event marketing program to support aggressive growth goals.

  • Identify high-value local events aligned with target homeowner demographics.

  • Build annual and quarterly event calendars by market in partnership with Regional Sales and Marketing leadership.

  • Implement best practices to maximize lead capture, appointment set rates, and cost efficiency.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop high-performing Brand Ambassadors.

  • Lead, coach, and manage multiple event teams across territories.

  • Establish performance expectations tied to clear KPIs (leads per hour, cost per lead, appointment set rate).

  • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and brand excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with local Sales Managers to align event schedules with production capacity and revenue targets.

  • Ensure seamless lead handoff and appointment conversion processes.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing to maintain brand standards, messaging consistency, and promotional strategy alignment.

Operational Execution

  • Oversee event logistics including booth selection, contracts, equipment transport, setup, and teardown.

  • Manage event marketing materials inventory and distribution.

  • Ensure all brand activations reflect Groundworks’ professionalism and service excellence.

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Track and analyze event performance metrics to measure ROI.

  • Monitor cost-per-lead, cost-per-appointment, and conversion performance.

  • Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Identify underperforming markets and implement corrective action plans.

Budget & Financial Oversight

  • Develop and manage territory-level event budgets.

  • Control expenses while maximizing lead generation output.

  • Forecast event-driven revenue contribution.

  • It is an essential function of this role that the employee regularly report to work each working day.

Qualifications:

Required

  • 5+ years of event marketing or field marketing leadership in a multi-location organization

  • Experience managing distributed teams across multiple markets

  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop front-line marketing representatives

  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis experience

  • Demonstrated success driving measurable lead generation results

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment

  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel reporting required)

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

  • Experience in home services, home improvement, or direct-to-consumer marketing

  • Experience scaling event programs in high-growth environments

Working Conditions:

  • This position may be based at a company branch location or performed remotely, depending on business needs and organizational structure.

  • The role requires frequent interaction with internal teams, external vendors, and event participants through in person, virtual, and electronic communication methods. The Event Marketing Manager regularly works in both office and field environments, including attendance at indoor and outdoor events such as trade shows, community events, and home shows. Travel of up to 30 percent is required and may include overnight stays, weekends, and extended hours depending on event schedules and business demands. The position may occasionally require flexibility in working hours to accommodate event timelines, staffing needs, and operational priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to perform tasks associated with event setup, supervision, and execution.

  • The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during events, which may last several hours or multiple consecutive days.

  • The role may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling marketing materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • The employee must be able to bend, reach, and move equipment as necessary to support event operations.

  • The position also requires the ability to use a computer, mobile devices, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
