Role Overview
This position oversees a comprehensive campus dining program at a public arts institution offering high school, undergraduate, and graduate-level training in performing, visual, and media arts. The dining operation includes a resident dining hall, coffee shop, multiple retail locations, a convenience store, catering services, and vending within the campus residential community.
The General Manager is responsible for ensuring high‑quality food service, strong financial performance, and an exceptional experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Oversee all day‑to‑day food service operations
Ensure delivery of high‑quality meals and service
Meet financial targets and operational goals
Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships
Develop strategic plans to support growth and service excellence
Foster a positive, engaging work environment
Ensure all company standards, policies, and compliance requirements are met
Requirements
What You Bring
Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of strong employee engagement
Prior supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
Culinary production knowledge and strong safety/sanitation compliance background
Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate professionally
Commitment to high‑level customer service
Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Working knowledge of food management systems and proficiency with reporting and computer applications
Valid Driver’s License
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of management experience
Minimum 5 years of functional experience in food service operations
