Pay Range
$51.05 - $76.60EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: MSN required, BCLS and PALS required, BTLS preferred, leadership and management experience in pediatric critical care, minimum of 5 years' experience in a Children's Hospital, demonstrated leadership/management experience, experience in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center preferred

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of applicable state, Specialty Certification Preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.
Establishes effective networks with colleagues throughout Brenner Children's Hospital, the Medical Center and referral region
2.
Ensures that Brenner Children's Hospital Trauma Services are provided in accordance with Brenner Children's Hospital and the Medical Center's mission, strategic plans, and all internal/external regulations, policies and procedures
3.
Assure clinical progression toward defined quality outcomes, patient and family satisfaction, cost-effectiveness, and systems efficiency.
4.
Enhance community outreach and education within the referral area in collaboration with the BCH Outreach Physician Liaison, the BCH Executive Steering Committee, and the BCH Leadership Team
5.
Serves as unifying and integrating force to achieve Pediatric Trauma Program goals and to assist in the success of Brenner Children's Hospital and the overall Medical Center
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Assures staff development activities promote and maintain clinical competence. Completes employee performance reviews along with conducting timely and meaningful feedback mechanisms. Provides counseling and direction to staff. Serves as a resource for all staff
- Proficiency in oral and written communication
- Knowledge and understanding of trauma services
- Healthcare planning, business, and physical management skills, including analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively as a team leader
- Ability to prioritize work activities to achieve goals in a timely manner
- Problem solving, team work, consensus building, and negotiation skills
- Ability to extrapolate and apply current principles in the art and science of nursing to the practice of nursing
- High degree of discretion and flexibility
- Knowledge of research and methodology
