Position Summary
The Staff Development Coordinator – RN is responsible for managing and leading the professional development and clinical education programs within our long-term care and short-term rehabilitation center.
This leadership role plays a vital part in ensuring our nursing team delivers exceptional resident care while maintaining compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory training requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage clinical education and staff development programs
- Assist with onboarding and orientation for newly hired nursing staff
- Conduct ongoing education, in-services, and competency training
- Facilitate compliance and regulatory training initiatives
- Support nursing leadership with performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with credentialing, educational, and regulatory requirements
- Promote infection prevention and quality clinical outcomes
- Mentor and support nursing staff growth and engagement
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or higher required
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice required
- Minimum of two (2+) years of nursing experience required
- Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Sub-Acute Rehab, Clinical Education, or Staff Development experience strongly preferred
- CDC IPCO Certification required OR willingness to complete within 5 days of employment

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
2 or more years’ experience in health care field, teaching, or training and development.Registered NurseInfection Prevention and Control Officer Certification or complete IPCO training and certification within 5 days of hire.
