Description

Garner Foods is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Process Line Technician to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role performs essential process line functions and helps ensure equipment operates effectively, efficiently, and at peak performance.

The Process Line Technician plays an important role in supporting employee safety, food safety, product integrity, quality checks, documentation accuracy, production flow, and customer specifications.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform production line functions such as filling, labeling, casing, wrapping, packing, palletizing/depalletizing, banding, sealing, capping, forming, printing, scanning, and erecting.
  • Support equipment start-up, product changeovers, normal operation, and shutdown according to SOPs.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify issues, and escalate concerns when equipment is not operating correctly.
  • Complete required quality checks, including weights, diameters, seals, measurements, and other production or quality logs.
  • Validate product information, check for defects, and report product, quality, or food safety concerns immediately.
  • Use computer systems to enter data, print paperwork, access orders, and review customer specifications.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, sanitary, and organized work area.
  • Follow company policies, GMP, SQF, HACCP, PPE, sanitation, housekeeping, and safety expectations.

A successful Process Line Technician is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and able to work at production pace without taking shortcuts. This person understands that line operation affects equipment performance, product integrity, food safety, quality, documentation, customer readiness, and the overall flow of production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal, written, and computer-based procedures.
  • Ability to use computer systems to enter data, print paperwork, access orders, and review customer specifications.
  • Ability to work in a wet, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry as required during the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and assigned shifts as needed.
  • Ability to wear required PPE correctly.
  • Ability to complete required safety, food safety, equipment, and job-specific training.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • Prior food or beverage manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working on a production or process line.
  • Experience operating production equipment, forklifts, or pallet jacks where trained and certified.
  • Working knowledge of GMP, SQF, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety expectations.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements


This position works in a food manufacturing environment and may include exposure to wet floors, noise, moving equipment, production machinery, forklifts or pallet jacks, and non-climate-controlled conditions. The role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying during the assigned shift.
