Job Overview:
The Laboratory Operations Program Manager oversees laboratory operations, programs, and strategic initiatives to ensure safe, efficient, compliant, and high-quality performance. This role manages laboratory resources, budgets, equipment, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional projects while supporting organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Lead day-to-day laboratory operations and program execution.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Manage laboratory budgets, equipment, inventory, and vendor relationships.
Oversee facility, maintenance, and operational improvement initiatives.
Track performance metrics and drive process improvements.
Support audits, inspections, and corrective action programs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve business and operational goals.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related field.
10-15+ years of laboratory operations, program management, or related experience
Experience managing large federal technical contracts (DoD, DOE, NASA)
Strong knowledge of laboratory safety, compliance, and quality systems.
Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Experience managing budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

PMP certification and/or advanced degree.
Prior experience with NASA laboratory operations.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma, LIMS, or regulated laboratory environments.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $130K to $160K per year. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
