Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely load and unload trailers, ensuring proper handling of temperature-sensitive products.
Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition.
Stage and organize pallets in designated dock areas for efficient loading or storage.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, ensuring all documentation is completed and submitted correctly.
Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to prioritize dock assignments and meet shipping schedules.
Follow cold storage handling procedures to maintain product quality and safety.
Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety of the dock and surrounding work areas.
Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or discrepancies immediately to supervision.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, dock, or cold storage environment preferred.
Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (certification preferred or provided by employer).
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow shipping/receiving procedures accurately.
Comfortable working in cold environments for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as required by operational needs.
