POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cashier plays a key role in providing exceptional guest service by accurately processing sales and assisting in daily operations across the food & beverage unit. In addition to handling transactions, this role supports front-of-house duties, maintains a clean and inviting space, and ensures guests leave with a positive impression. A working knowledge of Colorado liquor laws and health codes is essential. Must be available to work until October 1st.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resort’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resort’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay range: $18-$21

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Process guest transactions quickly and accurately using a POS system
  • Operate cash registers and credit card machines.
  • Provide excellent guest service to every guest, every time
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas
  • Stock and organize food display items adjacent to cashier stands
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of restrooms and guest spaces throughout the day
  • Follow all health, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Cooking experience preferred
  • 1 year front-of-house or customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer skills
  • Familiarity with Colorado liquor laws and health codes
  • TIPS certification preferred
  • Alcohol Server Training certificate, preferred
  • Food Handler and Allergy Training Certificate, preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stand/Sit for long periods of time
  • Occasionally carry 40+ lbs
  • Must be willing to work outside
