The Industry Outreach Representative should be comfortable building industry relationships through use of cold calls, email correspondence, social media & networking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather all relevant information from the employer regarding their job openings requirements, needs, background and facilities.
  • Disseminate job lead information, facility information and/or update information to the team
  • Ensure that all pertinent information on a company and their job openings is listed within the employer databank, maintain, and update correct company and contact information.
  • Promote Full Sail’s Career Development process to prospective employers
  • Recruit potential employers into the FS lead engine
  • Maintain relationships with employers to ensure all of their needs are being met, follow up periodically.
  • Act as a point of contact between Full Sail University Career Development and potential employers, while collaborating with strategic partnership, education faculty, international department within others to explore potential industry employment opportunities.
  • Document all conversations and update the Career Development Grad Services & Alumni Team
  • Play an active role in daily team meetings
  • Assist in creating lists, guidelines, memos, procedures, and forms for the progression of the department
  • Provide concierge service for high-profile accounts, including but not limited to addressing all employers needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Receive and respond to executive directives
  • Ability to Handle Special projects, Virtual & On Campus Presentations, Virtual Career Fairs and On Campus Career Fairs.
  • Some travel may be required for selected convention visits & location-based Career Hiring Events.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of company and personnel information
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization
  • Adhere to company attendance standards
  • Perform other duties as assignments
  • Convention visits, Location Career Hiring Event /some travel be required
  • Provide concierge service for high-level accounts
  • Receive and respond to executive directives
  • Coordinate special projects and scholarship/grants with Education or others
  • Collaborate with Strategic Partnership Team regarding possible Employer scholarship/grants information or collaboration with Education or others.
  • Reports directly to the Team Leader
  • Has thorough understanding of Full Sail, its philosophy and commitment to educating our students.
  • Researches and educates themselves on Industry Standards, changes, and potential companies prior to contacting via telephone.
  • Contacts potential employers via telephone, email, or social media to determine their hiring requirements and needs, informs them about Full Sail and the Career Development Department services and process.
  • Follows up to gather information to assist with potential opportunities.
  • Receives calls and emails from employers for job leads and accurately posts job leads in internal engine and alumni site as appropriate
  • Handles logistics of distribution of resumes and demos to employers for leads
  • Meets with team to discuss leads and employers as necessary
  • Documents all conversations and any action taken (media kit, lead taken, eliminate from list of potential employers.
  • May meet with prospective employers on site and may attend industry seminars, conventions, and conferences
  • Duties and assignments as assigned by the Team Leader.

  • Knowledge of the gaming, simulations, and/or technology industries
  • Must be comfortable with cold-calling campaigns

  • Good computer skills and the ability to communicate through verbal and written means are necessary
  • Develop corporate partnerships to increase employer lead volume.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Prefer college graduate with experience within the Entertainment, Media, Gaming & Tech industry
  • Sales & Cold Calling experience a plus
  • Customer Services / Guest Relations Experience
  • Recruiting practices, Sourcing & Early Career Recruiting Experience Preferred but not required
  • Social Media Campaign and communication experience.
  • Military experience a plus

Computer/Equipment Skills:

Proficiency using software programs such as:

  • MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Zoom, Slack, DropBox, Apple OS proficiency preferred
  • Virtual Hiring Platforms familiarity.

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:

Employee must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Work is performed in an office environment and may include sitting for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting to thirty (30) pounds.
