Allegro Winter Park is seeking an experienced, dependable Lead Caregiver / Med Tech (Lead Care Staff) to serve as a clinical leader on our care team. This is a role for someone who knows resident care inside and out, leads by example, and understands that the tone you set on every shift shapes the experience of every resident in your care.

Flexibility across all three shifts is required — days, evenings, and overnight — on a rotating schedule.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and support caregiving staff throughout your assigned shift
• Accurately administer medications per physician orders and care plans
• Provide hands-on resident care as needed — bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and more
• Monitor resident well-being and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Support Memory Care residents with patience, empathy, and dementia-informed care
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
• Be the clinical standard-setter your team and residents can count on every shift

What You Bring:

• Med Tech certification — required
• Experience in resident care and Memory Care — required
• Senior living experience — strongly preferred
• Strong leadership instincts and genuine passion for senior care
• Flexibility to work all three shifts on a rotating schedule — required

The primary responsibility of the Lead Care Staff is to assume basic responsibilities of the Resident Services Director (RSD) and Assistant Resident Services Director (ARSD) in their absence. The Lead Care Staff would assume such responsibilities as overall guidance and supervision of Care Staff to include such tasks as scheduling, handling call-offs, documentation compliance, coordination with outside medical personnel, checking flow sheets, and other related duties.

Areas of Responsibility

• In the absence of Resident Services Director, act as shift supervisor.
• Monitor compliance with regard to Care Staff procedures to assure high quality levels of service to residents.
• In conjunction with RSD, schedule associates.
• Follow normal Care Staff responsibilities along with fellow coworkers.
• Assist with and/or complete Medication Assistant responsibilities as needed.
• During the shift assigned to this position, take all call-offs, and find appropriate coverage.
• Ensure that all documentation is correct and complete prior to the end of assigned shift.  
• Monitor apartments for clutter and safety issues.  
• Work with other departments to assure the Community and apartments are presentable for tours. 
• Train and advise Care Staff as directed by the RSD/ARSD.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Minimum one (1) year experience with senior adults.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant and possess current Medication Training certification, and be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
• Certification in CPR and first aid required.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.
• Teamwork and good listening skills are essential.
